Merve Odabaşı studied at the Textile and Fashion Design department of Dokuz Eylül University. She worked for about 2.5 years as a designer for Lug von Siga brand in İstanbul. Having joined the 23rd Koza Young Fashion Designers Competition in early 2015, she was awarded the grand prize for her Quilt collection with Ottoman patterns and elected as the young fashion designer of the year.
Her designs of clothing took part in the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week and Forum Fashion Week events organized in Turkey.
After completing her postgraduate education in the area of Fashion Design and Management at Istanbul Academy, she moved to Milan, Italy. She received her Master’s degree at Istituto Marangoni in the field of Fashion Design Women’s Clothing.
In Italy, she designed capsule collections for Armani and Rosella Jardini. She worked in Milan for about 1.5 years as a designer for Vionnet Paris brand. In the period, her designs were exhibited by world-famous actresses and top models in Milan Fashion Week, one of the leading fashion shows of the world.
